Vela Personnel Head of Sales and Client Experience Delivery

Introduction

Purpose:

A financial services company that deals with funding SME’s is seeking a Head of Sales and Client Experience Delivery who will be responsible for combining the new business and client retentions sales divisions, metrics include revenue, conversion ratios, value funded, number of clients funded and pricing

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Job Outputs:

  • Convert leads brought in by acquisitions, deliver our value proposition to our clients, retain and on-sell funding to our client base and thereby deliver on sales and revenue targets
  • Own the execution of the client journey and therefore influence our communication roadmap and future new client and retention solutions
  • Success will be achieved by inspiring, motivating and overseeing a team of around 15 sales execs across the two divisions, and implementing an optimal people-digital client experience
  • carefully balance your time between coaching and delivering through your management team and providing positive leadership for sales execs to deliver on the targets of today; while enhancing our people/process/tech to deliver a mind-blowing client experience and improving conversions to secure the targets of tomorrow
  • Have the skills to influence other departments such as: digital marketing, IT, finance and all areas that impacts the “production line’ which delivers the client value proposition
  • The overall financial objective of this role is revenue; however, this is through delivering value to our clients and our people first
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets and related KRAs
  • Lead and mentor the sales team
  • Deliver the client value proposition
  • Define the customer experience golden thread and ensure delivery through the sales tea and marketing divisions digital team
  • Set up client experience measures and feedback exercises, using the results to motivate for and drive continuous improvement
  • Propose improvements and new features related to the products and client service processes
  • Take ownership of collections and coordinate the solve for operational issues impacting the client experience

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications:

  • Related degree or diploma

Experience:

  • Experience is required in leading a sales team, leading managers who have teams under then, and digital client journey management
  • Motivated by sales targets
  • Track record of identifying, developing and mentoring great talent and building and motivating high achieving teams
  • Has been on the front line of sales in your career
  • True love for customers and customer advocate
  • Experience in digital marketing and communication, while working previously with online automated solutions is a plus
  • Skills to be a data driven decision maker, with a willingness to experiment
